Almost everyone knows him or has seen him shooting at shows! Our friend, professional photographer, Shane Eckart, recently underwent a very complicated procedure known as quintuple bypass surgery (meaning 5!!). This procedure was used to treat severely blocked arteries. As he will be out of work recovering for some time, Shane needs our help. As you can imagine, there are tons of medical bills and Shane hasn’t been able to work for some time now. We are all pulling for a successful and fast healing process! Many of you have seen Shane at your favorite venues, concerts, and other outings. He has always been found photographing bands, friends and family members or taking pics of big name acts. His work has been outstanding enough to be found in magazines all over the world. One of the great drummers, Ken Mary (Alice Cooper, Flotsam and Jetsam, Fifth Angel) has appeared in numerous magazine photos captured by Shane. Ken helped get Shane's pictures shown all over the world. There are countless local bands that have been shot by him as well. Most of you reading this have probably had your photos taken by Shane! We are pulling together and having a fundraiser for Shane on July 26th at the 44 Sports Grill and Nightlife to aid him during his long term healing process. There will be a $10 donation at the door, a 50/50 raffle and numerous other items being raffled off. Be sure to bring cash or use the convenient ATM found at the 44 door! We have a fantastic lineup for the event, with some of our favorite musicians,,,, Matrix (& friends), Haymaker, Black River Bottom, Stereo Rex, Rose Colored Eyes, Hard & Heavy and Radio Roulette have all jumped in to make this one of the best events around! And the absolutely gorgeous and talented Cathy Rankin will be our host for the evening! The friendly staff at the 44 are ready to keep us fed, hydrated and filled with frosty beverages! Bands start at 5:00 and play throughout the night. Get there early, stay late, hang with friends, make new ones. You never know who may show up!
